My Role

UI/UX Designer

Tools

Pen, Paper, Whiteboard, Bootstrap, HTML, CSS, Visual Studio

I joined the project as the UI/UX Designer and I’m responsible for the creation of a cohesive and consistent UI, expansion of the brand’s visual style, and designing/building new features. I also handled the implementation of design choices throughout the project from wireframes to creating completed designs in HTML & CSS for handoff to a developer.

Throughout the project I researched competitors and we conducted user research by surveying people who fit our user personas including teachers, students, and parents. I gained insight and improved the product by learning what users liked, didn’t like and features wanted in future updates of the product.

Collaborating with a developer, I ideated and expanded upon many of the established and planned features for the product. I brainstormed and sketched wireframes and layouts to test different ways to implement new features. I redesigned the existing product and created a new fully responsive user interface, visual styles and page layouts in HTML/CSS using Bootstrap to create a seamless responsive user experience across all devices.
